Juice smoothies, protein smoothies/shakes.
Homemade and store bought.
Cold-pressed Sweet Greens and Lemon.
Probably the best and freshest tasting
of all the bottled green juices.
Essential Greens with Lime.
I drink at least one a day.
Wheatgrass, coconut water, cucumber, lime, ginger
Acai, coconut milk smoothie.
Suja Essentials Might Greens organic juice (and a book!)
The first ingredient is apple juice, thumbs down to that.
The taste? Meh. Give me Evolution Fresh any day.
BPA free packaging.
Thumbs up to that.
Apple, celery, cucumber, kale, collard green, lemon, peppermint and spearmint tea,
spinach, ginger, spirulina, chlorella, barley, alfalfa
Suja Essentials Berry Goodness.
A very sweet smoothie. A bit too sweet, in my opinion.
Some may find this drink to be a better way to drink chia seeds, as it is not gelatinous like raspberry chia kombucha.
For some reason this flavor does not indicate that it is made from BPA-free packaging.
Thumbs down to that.
Suja Essentials Sweet Beets
Apple, carrot, orange, beet, banana, pineapple, turmeric.
An acquired taste.
BPA-free packaging, so thumbs up to that.
Trader Joe's Cold Pressed Green Juice.
Meh. Not as tasty as Evolution Fresh.
Protein Power smoothie.
This has a very gritty/chalky kind of texture.
I don't mind but some people might not like it.
Trying out a juicer to answer a few questions. How much
juice can I juice in advance and store? Should I freeze it? Which recipes do I like best?
(and so on..)
My first time tasting straight carrot juice. Eee gads. Bleh!
The taste reminded me of roasted carrot. Drinking roasted carrot. Umm... no.
Bolthouse Farms Multi-V Goodness.
Sweet but with a balance of tart so it's not over-sweet. Just right.
Muscle Milk. Not a big fan of the after taste.
Bolthouse Farms Daily Greens juice.
The taste is thumbs down but I mix it with just a bit of fruit juice
to improve the taste so it is at least drinkable. I also add ginger, cayenne pepper or
mint along with the additional fruit juice.
Naked Green Machine juice.
I usually mix this with the Bolthouse Farms Daily Greens.
*Update, February 2015: I no longer buy any of these type of juice smoothies from other brands.
Now I drink only Evolution Fresh. I am still researching and experimenting and will
Bolthouse Farms Daily Roots juice.
3 3/4 cups of veggies per bottle. Beets, purple carrots, purple sweet potato,
lettuce, watercress, spinach and parsley. No sugar added.
The taste is..hmmm.. meh. Not terrible but not good either. Almost has a "fake sugar"
aftertaste to it. I am not sure why. I would prefer to juice my own veg so
I know for a fact what goes into it but right now I do not have a juicer. I'm working on it :)
Bolthouse Farms Salted Caramel Latte.
WAY too sweet, yick.
Kale, apple, banana, pear, celery.
On the rocks.
